H: mmmmm. Which restaurant did you get this from?! This is great!
Me: oh, I made it with a recipe I found online
H: this is homemade?!?! Babe, this is restaurant style delicious! You’re a good cook, but cmon…..seriously…where did you buy this from? We need to start going there more frequently

Lol. Yeah, so this recipe is “restaurant quality delicious”.

One note is after looking at the reviews I did use a glass pan. Numerous people said that using foil or whatnot on a regular pan it won’t cook as well.

I usually make it as written but I’ve been in a bit of a chicken rut so I tried these with boneless pork loin chops sliced into thin strips and some quartered mushrooms for added veggies. The end result was just as fantastic as the original.

The fajita mix is delicious and so much better than store bought. I slightly overcooked the chicken at 30 minutes so I’ll definitely check sooner next time.

Have made this twice now. I didn’t use a seasonings outlined in this recipe but use pre-mix seasoning packets or stuff I had on hand I just added sugar to blends that made sense and it turned out amazing both times! So easy cheap and delicious! I definitely recommend using a glass or Pyrex baking dish though and not foil on a sheet pan, cause both times I made this I lost a lot of the onion and peppers to them burning & sticking to the foil. A bit of moisture retention is needed to keep this from happening.

We make this with steak instead of chicken since that’s what we usually have on hand (our relatives are cattle ranchers). We use the same recipe and times listed, and the steak turns out perfect each time.
